Common Foot Pain from Skiing
So he brought in his ski boots that were custom made for him in Switzerland.
Ok, this is what came out of the boots.
We need a lift here so that we can lift his foot rather than it being down and crushed at the side.
Because on his gyps cast his transverse arches have collapsed, this area here.
So where it is bulging out he is getting a lot of pressure through here in his boots.
Skiers get it and cyclists get it, it is called ‘hot foot’.
When your transverse arches collapse it is a vice-like grip.
And you really need to take your ski boots or cycle shoes off and massage the area to try and get the blood flow back in to it.
That is why we have these lifts up underneath here to lift him a little bit.
We don’t want to lift him too much as he has to lean forward to ski downhill.
Absolutely incredible, I have never seen boots like this before. These are really fabulous.
We can open these very easily. Flexible as well.
This is the secret part that is going to improve his healing in his feet.
I’m not sure if you can see inside here.
Excellent! Bye bye boots.
